On the 4th of December 2024, ATRAC held an education course and a ‘table-top’ exercise in coordination with Dubrovnik-Neretva County for the County operational center (COC). This education was held in Dubrovnik on the Student Centre premises. Through the course, COC members were familiarized with the basics of accidental marine oil pollution, as well as past pollution cases in the world and the Adriatic Sea. At the end of the training course, there was a ‘table-top’ exercise in which the trainees could use ATRAC’s newly developed VR tool for aerial surveillance of oil spills. The training course was closed with a commentary on the held exercise.
