Training Course in Sarajevo – “ASAP” Project
From 15 to 19 September 2025, ATRAC, within the framework of the IPA ADRION project “Adriatic Sensitive Areas Protection – echanism (ASAP)”, organized a training course in Sarajevo, hosted by the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Transport and Communications.
The “ASAP” project aims to protect the Adriatic Sea and its surrounding environment through education and awareness raising, capacity building for effective response to accidental marine pollution, and enhancement of international cooperation among Adriatic coastal countries. The training course represented an important step towards achieving these objectives, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen institutional cooperation.
Participants included representatives of key institutions and organizations: the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, the Environmental Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Agency for Watershed of the Adriatic Sea, the Agency for Watershed of the Sava River, the Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo, DELTA PETROL Ltd. Kakanj, and the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Science.
ATRAC will continue to implement activities within the “ASAP” project, with the goal of further strengthening international cooperation and improving the regional system for the protection of the Adriatic Sea.
