Education held in Montenegro within the ‘ASAP’ project

From October 6 to October 10, 2025, in Kotor, Montenegro, two training sessions were successfully held: “At-Sea Response” and “Shoreline Clean up”. The trainings were organized as part of the IPA ADRION project “ASAP,” aimed at strengthening the capacity and preparedness for responding to sudden marine pollution caused by maritime incidents.

The participants of the training were representatives of key institutions and organizations in the fields of maritime safety and environmental protection: the Maritime Safety Administration, Port of Kotor, Environmental Protection Agency, Directorate for Protection and Rescue, Faculty of Maritime Studies, Tivat Volunteer Firefighting Society, as well as students and volunteers from the Youth Team Tivat, Dolphin Researchers of Montenegro, the student organization “Spasić i Mašera,” and the Faculty of Maritime Studies.

The training was conducted by ATRAC, while the organization at the national level was led by the NGO “Naša akcija,” as the Montenegrin partner in the ‘ASAP’ project.
