Project ‘ASAP’
The ‘ASAP’ project is based on the results of the ‘NAMIRS’ project, which ran from 2022 to 2024. The goal of the ‘ASAP’ project is to transfer knowledge and best practices from the Northern Adriatic to the rest of the Adriatic Sea in order to strengthen the protection of the marine environment from pollution caused by oil spills. To achieve the goal of this project, all countries with access to the Adriatic Sea are involved (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania). The total budget of this project is €1,749,816.50, and ATRAC’s budget for this project is €112,000.00. ATRAC’s role in this project is to conduct training for emergency services involved in responding to marine pollution and to participate in exercises that will be held as part of the ‘ASAP’ project. The expected duration of the ‘ASAP’ project is from September 2024 to March 2027.
