MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN ATRAC AND CEDRE

On April 3rd 2018 ATRAC signed a Memorandum od Understanding with CEDRE (Centre for Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution).

Considering the potential risks of oil pollution resulting from spills near the Adriatic coastline and French coastline, and considering there’s a need to cooperate to protect the marine environment from oil, HNS and various pollutants, ATRAC and CEDRE recognize the interest of exchanges and cooperation on the following items:

  • General information in order to strenghten the preparedness and response capacity of the Adriatic reagion and France;
  • Information on regional marine environment , accidental water pollution management and resources, new technologies, emergency plan and others;
  • Theoretical and practical training program and exercises;
  • Research and experimentation projects or programs in the field of oil or HNS spill response technology;
  • Technical experimentations and trials;
  • Cooperation in national or international projects (EU, IMO,…);
  • Exchange of personnel, when possible, during major incidents.

This Memorandum of Understaning is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and experience through cooperation with european leading centre for research and development in the field of accidental marine pollution.
