On April 23rd and 24th ATRAC delivered a two-day training course „Accidental Marine Pollution Fundamentals“ in Bar, Montenegro, organized by Maritime Safety Directorate in Bar. The education was based on IMO OPRC Level 1 model course, and intended for first responders, that is, operational staff responsible for cleanup operations.

The participants were representatives of Maritime Safety Directorate in Bar, Montenegrin Navy, maritime police, port authorities, specialized company “Hemosan” d.o.o, and also faculty members and representatives of different institutions and agencies involved in marine environment protection.

All the participants were extremely interested in the subjects and have evaluated this education very useful for their future work, especially since there will be a national full scale exercise organized in Bar from 22nd – 25th June this year.

ATRAC is planning on delivering two more training courses, one in Rijeka and another one in Montenegro, so we are looking forward to our future and successful cooperation.
