On the 21st of June 2024, ATRAC was a part of ‘MORE 2024’ exercise in Zadar. Alongside ATRAC, County Operational Centre of Zadar county and specialized company CIKLON d.o.o. were also participating in this exercise. The exercise begun with a notice of a pollution and further notifying the 112 emergency centre. The pollution was simulated with the use of popcorn in the area between the Gaženica port and Ugljan island. After the arrival of CIKLON d.o.o. on site, the inflation of booms and the setup of given formation was started to prevent further spread of pollution. After the booms were set and the pollution was limited, a skimmer was lowered into the apex of the boom formation to collect and remove the pollution from the sea surface. After the end of the exercise, a discussion was held on its performance. The exercise was successfully held to test reaction time and equipment efficiency in real conditions.
