Project NAMIRS
As one of the partners in the NAMIRS project, ATRAC attended the presentation of the project in Trieste, on March 31, 2021. The NAMIRS project (NAMIRS – North Adriatic Maritime Incident Response System) is co-financed by the European Commission (DG ECHO) under the Union Mechanism for Civil Protection, and is planned to last two years. In the project worth 950,000 euros, the partners are, along with ATRAC, The Italian General Command of the Port Authorities – Coast Guard ,The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, The Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief of Slovenia, The University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport Portorož and The National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics. The aim of the project is to strengthen regional cooperation between the northern Adriatic countries in the event of sudden marine pollution in the area in order to prevent devastating environmental and economic consequences.
